Vitamin D is known to be beneficial to your bones. This nutrient helps the body absorb more calcium, which is essential to stronger bones. Lack of vitamin D can affect the body’s from absorbing the calcium it needs. This can lead to bones becoming thin and brittle. Vitamin D deficiency can then increase your risk of stress fractures, especially if you are quite active.
